The 1.5 mm thin temperature sensor (insertion probe) is used to measure the air flow with the Leister temperature measuring device (article no. 136.961). This makes it possible, for example, to measure the preheating air in extrusion welding equipment, which must be precisely adjusted for optimum welding. The temperature of the air outlet of other plastic welding equipment can also be checked quickly and accurately with the temperature probe.
The temperature sensor is also required for calibrating the SOLANO AT in order to determine and set the outlet temperature of the air stream when using specific nozzles. The temperature sensor is equipped with a type K connector and corresponds to the best thermocouple class 1. A second temperature sensor for measuring the temperature of the extrudate of extrusion welding equipment is also available from Leister for the Leister temperature measuring device (article number 136.962).
